PR Release: ExecEdPrograms.com Site Launch
ExecEdPrograms.com: a new look at business schools from the executive’s perspective
San Francisco, CA. May 1, 2009.
ExecEdPrograms.com launches today as a new online portal where executives and students can find specific information about the Executive Education market. In a market that generates significant value for top business schools and business organizations alike, many people outside of the executive business world are unfamiliar with executive education programs. The ExexEdPrograms offers unbiased profiles of business schools and their respective executive education programs, as well as a forum for discussions to take place regarding the industry.
In developing the site, the founders wanted to fully understand each school’s history and what makes each business school unique. As founder Richard remarks: “The top 10 MBA schools, when you look closely, are actually very different from one another. So are their executive education programs. Anyone in the alumni or faculty can tell you this. However, visiting these school’s websites alone does not always convey this.”
So what really determines an executive’s decision to attend or send his whole team to a school’s program? Of the factors that contribute to school selection, the founders note the following after extensive research:
- Geography is important in terms of where the schools are located, what the campus looks like and the seasonality of the campus locations
- Brand name recognition can be an influence of business publications, PR, marketing, faculty, school alumni and client lists
- School rankings can be somewhat of a self fulfilling prophecy – schools that are ranked high tend to live up to those expectations
- In every market, there are organizations that are unique in their own way. Some schools offer world class hotels during executive stays, on-site corporate training and 1 on 1 coaching programs for executives
In regards to the future of the site, the founders note that the project was a fun one to develop as it is not a market they usually design websites for, citing “As long as it adds value to us and the world we will continue to improve the domain.”
